What do these three options mean?

Base folder = sometimes shown as Here. This is the sync location on your computer, as explained on this guide.

Merge = It combines the contents of the cloud folder with the local folder. Any identical files will be matched to prevent duplications. When choosing this, the gray folder icon turns into blue with an "@" inside. You will also see the file path on the right:

Inside folder or drive = The difference with merge is that syncing inside a folder/drive creates a subdirectory. So if you sync Folder A inside Folder X, the sync path will be ~/Folder X/Folder A. The gray folder icon will also turn into a blue with an "@".
